ORDERING

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Pay Pal, and Check/Money Order

Check or Money Order:

Your order will not process until we have received payment. To use Check or Money Order, place your order using the Check/Money Order option at the payment selection screen at checkout. All outstanding orders will be cancelled within 20 days of the order date if payment has not been received.

Note: If you use PayPal, during the checkout process you will leave our site, go to PayPal, then return to complete your order.

When do you charge me for the order?

We will charge your card when your order is placed. If need to cancel your order before it has reached the processing stage we will refund your card the full amount. If your order is put on back order, you will have the option to cancel your order (with a full refund), change it another shoe, or wait for your product to come in.

How secure is the transaction?

We implement 128bit SSL technology to process your credit card though the use of an SSL certificate. Your credit card information is encrypted when you send it to our server, and it is encrypted when we  authorize it .You can view this security by seeing the padlock in your lower toolbar in Internet Explorer.  Also note the 'S' in HTTPS to denote the SSL encryption . We also use SSL to encrypt all your personal information (address, name, etc) which, by the way, we do not share with anyone (except for the purpose of authoring and shipping your order, please see our Privacy Notice for more information).

What if I need to make a change to the order?

Contact us by either phone or email. Email is preferable as it is easier for us to track your order (include your order number please). If the order status it is still Pending, we should be able to cancell it. Once the order status is Processing, we will be unable to cancell your order.

What happens after I place the order?

We will notify you by email every step of the way.

Here is an explanation of our order statuses:

Pending-> We have received and authorized your card for the order

Processing -> Your order is being processed (getting packed for shipping, etc)

Shipped ->The order has been shipped

Free Shipping

Free shipping is 4-5 day (aprx) to the continental US (does not include order processing time).

Please Note: There will be 1-3 days to process your order before it ships unless you choose a priority shipping option.

Free shipping does not apply to international orders, AK or HI

Sale items and Special items ARE included in the free shipping.

Coupons may not be used in conjuction with free shipping

Free shipping is only available for the original purchase.

Although most orders arrive in 5-8 business days, if you need the order by a specific date you may want to upgrade your shipping to a UPS Priority for peace of mind.

UPS Priority Air (3 day, 2 day and Overnight, business days): You will recieve a quote at check out time based upon the weight of your order and where you live. Priority Air shipments placed before 11am are shipped same day. After 11am, next business day. If you are in a rush, please call and we will see what we can do.

At no time shall Totally Necessary's liability extend beyond the original purchase and original shipping charges.

Orders to Hawaii and Alaksa must use UPS 2 day air or USPS or contact us for a quote using alternative shipping methods. Please allow for extra processing time on these orders, as they can take up to a week to ship.

Multiple Shipments: If you have selected products with different shipping dates we will hold the shipment until all items are avialable to ship. If you would like us to ship items as they become available, please put a a request to do so in the comment box at check out time. A fee of $3.50 per shipment will be charged. If you have selected a priority air option, please specify which items you want shipped with priority. We will assume that the first available items are to be shipped with priority. The items that ship later will be shipped with the standard shipping. If you would like both shipments to ship with priority air, extra shipping fees may apply. [top]

When Will My Order Be Shipped? When will I get my order?

Most orders are recieved within 5-9 business day, however, we can not guarantee an arrival date unless you have selected a priority option.

Your order will take 1-3 business days to process before it ships.

If you select UPS Overnight,2nd Day Air, or 3 Day Select, your order will ship within 24 hours.

Orders to Hawaii and Alaska. We offer either UPS shipping, or USPS shipping. If you elect to use USPS, please allow for a few days extra processing time. Your order may take up to a week to ship. If you need a more exact shipping estimate, please contact us.

Do You Ship Outside The United States?

 Yes, but there is an additional $10 service charge. International Orders may take 7-10 business days to ship. Costumers will be responsible for all cost and fees related to customs, taxes or taffies.

How Do I Track My Shipment?

Once we ship your products, you will receive a tracking number via e-mail that will allow you track your shipment.

Backorders

Due to the wide selection of sizes, colors and shoes, backorders are inevitable.

Backorders usually ship out within 7-30 days. We apologize for any inconvience. All items are subject to stock availablity. All back-orders will automatically be cancelled after 30 days, and a full refund applied.

Return Policy/Exchanges


We are happy to take your return if your order does not work out.

You have 20 days from the date of your purchase to return your products. You will need to request a return within 5 days of receiving your order. All claims on damaged goods must be made within 5 days of receipt. (See below)

Swimsuits: Due to health regulations any swimsuits that have been warn can not be returned. If the tags have been removed and/or the liner is removed in any way, the item will be considered used, and unreturnable. We reserve the right to inspect any swimsuit to determine if it has been worn.

Lingerie sales are final due to health regulations (unless manf. defect)

Halloween Costumes: All sales are final.

Clearance Items: All sales are final

How to request a return:

1. Sign into your account, view order history, and select the relevant order.
2. On the order detail page, there is a link below each product. Select the link below the product that you wish to return.
3. You will see a return request form. Please fill out and sumbit.
4. Once you submit a return request, a confirmation screen will appear containing an RMA number.

For returns to be accepted, they must meet the following criteria:

  • The return must show no sign of use
  • All original manufacturing packaging is returned undamaged or like new condition
  • For shoes: DO NOT ship shoes in just the shoe box. Shoeboxes MUST be returned packaged inside wrapping paper or a secondary box. If no external packaging is used your return WILL BE refused. Extensively damaged boxes will receive a $5.00 re-boxing fee.
  • They have an RMA number on the outside of the box they are shipped back in. All packages without and RMA number WILL BE refused.
  • Totally Necessary reserves the right to refuse any returns upon inspection.

We recommend that some type of tracking/signature be used to avoid any confusion. Totally Necessary can not be held responsible for any lost packages or damage that may occur, so you may want to insure your shipment.

All shipping fees are non-refundable

Restocking Fees:

We will credit your account the cost of your order, less shipping fees. If you have used the free shipping, we will refund you the amount of your shoe, minus what it cost to ship your order to you. Please remember, we enjoy offering the free shipping. However, we can not re-ship for free, or pay for your shipping if you return an order. If you need to exchange for another size, you will need to pay the cost of shipping the second order to you.

All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, there is no restocking fee for exhanges or store credit. However, we reserve the right to charge a restocking fee for excessive exchanges.

Exchanges

There is no restocking fee on exchanges.
The customer will be responsible for all shipping fees.
Totally Necessary reserves the right to charge a restocking fee for excessive exchanges. Please follow the same procedure for a return

Shipping Fees:

We will provide you with a pre-paid postage label if the return is due to a manufacturing defect, or an error on the part of Totally Necessary or one of our suppliers.

The customer will be responsible for all other shipping fees, including:

  • Return shipping fees if the RMA number is not visible on the outside of the package
  • If we return the items due signs of use
  • Return shipping if the items are not returned within the time period specified

  • The cost of reshipping any order because it was returned, unless the error was on our part.
  • Exchanges are not elible for free shipping

*damaged boxes will result in a $5 boxing fee

Exchanges and Cross Shipping

In the event that an item(s) needs to be returned due to a manufacturing defect or an error of Totally Necessary or one of our suppliers, no credit or return item will be issued until the item(s) has been returned. In the event of cross-shipping, the customer will need to supply a deposit credit card until the goods are received, inspected and accepted by Totally Necessary or one of our suppliers. At no time shall Totally Necessary's liability extend beyond the original purchase and original shipping charges.

Clearence Items:

Clearance items may be returned for store credit only, less restocking fee of 15%

Clearance items are not eliegible for free shipping, or other promotions and/or coupons

Refused Shipments:

All refused shipments will be subject to a 20% restocking fee as well as any other fees that are incurred, such as custom fees and duties (international orders). All shipping fees are non-refundable.

What is a customer action shot?

A fun way for you to show us and others the product in action. We will not use this picture for anything other then posting in onto the product page that you have submitted it for. If we would like to use it for any other purpose, we will contact you for permission first.

What are the guidelines?

First and foremost, no nudity, however provocative and sexy are allowed (after all - these are sexy shoes). But don't let that limit you. It can be a photo of your dog wearing the shoe as well, anything goes in this regard.

The size needs to be under 500KB.   We reserve the right to refuse any photo.

How do I submit my picture for an Action Shot?

Browse to the page of the product that you are 'using' in the photo and click on the "Your Picture here image". That will take you to page where you can then upload your photo.

Can the photo be removed if I change my mind?

Absolutely.  Just email us any time you want it removed and we will remove it.

Will you alter it in any way? 

We may make slight adjustments such as color, cropping, and or  resizing.

SHOE QUESTIONS

What are the differences in the materials?

Several varieties of material are used by the shoe manufacturers:

Patent Leather - A shiny  mirror like leather

PU -  Short for polyurethane. This is a semi-shiny to non-shiny man made material designed to be less expensive than leather.

Leather - the highest quality material

How do I convert these sizes to a man's shoe size?

 

A good rule of thumb is to add 2 shoe sizes. A women's size 10 would be a mans size 12.  However, each manufacture is a little bit different.

You can browse Totally Necessary and take as much time as you want to review our products without having to submit such Personal Customer Information.

While we support the protection of privacy on the Internet, Totally Necessary cannot be responsible for the actions of any third-party web sites.
